Business to Business Marketing (B2B)

Business to Business Marketing (B2B) :

B2B  Websites :

A B2B website helps global buyers connect with global suppliers and vice versa. An example of B2B can be a plastic-bag manufacturing company supplying plastic bags to a textile mill for packing their finished goods.

B2B or business to business refers to trading between different businesses. The word B2B is now used commonly for transactions done online

between businesses as well as the process of finding new business partners online. In other words, from a seller’s perspective, it’s the process of finding buyers and selling goods in bulk to another business which will eventually sell to end users.

This is where B2B websites play a crucial role as they help global buyers connect with manufacturers, wholesalers and exporters and vice versa. An example of B2B can be a plastic-bag manufacturing company supplying plastic bags to a textile mill for packing their finished goods.

This is How a B2B Website Works :

Let’s say an automobile company from Japan wants to import/buy tires from a tire manufacturing company in Germany. The Japanese

automobile company will visit a B2B website and look for tire exporters from Germany. The B2B website will show the details of all the

relevant tire suppliers, exporters, wholesalers and manufacturers from Germany. The automobile company from Japan will then contact the

company through the interface provided by the B2B website.

The same way, suppliers can also find potential buyers on a B2B website. They can search for buyers and contact the ones whose

requirements they can fulfill. Hence, B2B websites end the tiring and expensive process of visiting different countries to find new trade

partners.

B2B Web sites can be sorted into :

  >  Company Web sites, since the target audience for many company Web sites is other companies and their employees. Company sites can be

thought of as round-the-clock mini-trade exhibits. Sometimes a company Web site serves as the entrance to an exclusive extranet available

only to customers or registered site users. Some company Web sites sell directly from the site, effectively e-tailing to other businesses.

  >  Product supply and procurement exchanges, where a company purchasing agent can shop for supplies from vendors, request proposals,

and, in some cases, bid to make a purchase at a desired price. Sometimes referred to as e-procurement sites, some serve a range of industries

and others focus on a niche market.

  >  Specialized or vertical industry portals which provide a "subWeb" of information, product listings, discussion groups, and other features.

These vertical portal sites have a broader purpose than the procurement sites (although they may also support buying and selling).

  >  Brokering sites that act as an intermediary between someone wanting a product or service and potential providers. Equipment leasing is

an example.

  >  Information sites (sometimes known as infomediary), which provide information about a particular industry for its companies and their

employees. These include specialized search sites and trade and industry standards organization sites.

Many B2B sites may seem to fall into more than one of these groups. Models for B2B sites are still evolving.

Another type of B2B enterprise is software for building B2B Web sites, including site building tools and templates, database, and

methodologies as well as transaction software.

B2B is e-commerce between businesses. An earlier and much more limited kind of online B2B prior to the Internet was Electronic Data

Interchange (EDI), which is still widely used.

What Must Buyers and Suppliers Do On a B2B Website :

B2B websites basically serve as an intermediary where both importers and exporters come and post their buying requirements or selling

leads. Buyers and suppliers must post their buying and selling leads on B2B websites because if they don’t post their leads, their businesses

won’t be found in search results. Therefore, it is highly important to fully utilize the facility of posting products and selling leads on a B2B

website.

Following are some Indian B2B sites :

Types of Memberships On a B2B Website :

There are two types of memberships available on most B2B websites.

1.        Free Membership :  Any trader can create an account free of cost. However, this type of membership provides limited access to buyers

and their buying requirements.

2.       Premium Membership :  This is paid membership. This membership gives complete access to all the buyers along with priority ranking

in buyers’ search results.

Register on a B2B website and start promoting your business globally. This is an extremely cost-effective solution for both big and small  companies.

Internet Marketing- Pros and Cons

The boom of the internet has led to another platform for marketing. That is “internet marketing”.  What really makes internet marketing tick is the fact that the net dominates our lives these days. Our morning usually starts off with a hot coffee and a “Twitter update” or to check notifications on Facebook. Americans in the age range of 45-54 actually spend more time online than any generation. This shows that the internet has caught on with everyone. No wonder different organizations, businesses and entities are vying for attention on the internet. But everything has its own advantages and disadvantages. So does internet marketing! Today we are going to discuss the pros and cons of internet marketing:

Pros of internet marketing :

Many people automatically assume that marketing is about selling something, it is not. A great part of marketing is all about market research which many large and small companies rely on to find out their customers or target audience. Thanks to the internet and social media websites, market research has become so much easier. In addition, now companies can conduct market research at global levels because the internet connects people all around the world.

Another plus side of internet marketing is that it is instant. After all, paid per click advertisements allow you to reach your target audience instantly with the sales transaction occurring in seconds thanks to the credit card. Also, people not only browse for items in supermarkets and stores, but they also look for them on the internet.

Companies and entities are smart to build public relations through the internet. Anybody who is a big “somebody” probably has a Twitter account, a Facebook fan page and most recently introduced, a Google Plus account.

Cons of internet marketing :

The options the internet has can be mind boggling. There are social media websites, blogs, forums, chat rooms, main websites and online advertisements to choose from when planning to market something. The company or entity has to choose carefully which platform they want to sell their product of service in. Another negative side of internet marketing is the intense competition. Try bidding for the top keywords for PPC advertisements and you will see how expensive it can get. Last but not least, damage control is very difficult on the internet, meaning that gossip and complaints spread like wildfire on the internet. A Facebook status is enough to generate 10 comments from 10 different people. These are personal accounts so there is no way you can stop the discussion or your downfall from taking place.

Conclusion :

The conclusion to this post is that using internet marketing to promote yourself is an effective tool, but you should also be careful that the spotlight on you doesn’t end up on the negative side. It is recommended that you always have a back-up for damage control so that your company or your reputation doesn’t suffer. In the end, if you choose the right track and work ethically, you won’t have any problem in marketing.

Best Way to Drive Traffic to your Blogs

Five Ways to Drive Traffic to your Blog :

When you blog for money you need to create your own content (and lots of it!), implement advertisement programs like AdBrite  and WidgetBucks, and last but not least – you need traffic. In our offline lives we dread it, but online we embrace it. I want to give you many ways to start driving traffic to your blog today. With a little time and patience, you will slowly start to increase your viewer ship.

1.) Post comments on other Blogs.

Blogs are everywhere – there’s certainly not a shortage of them. You should have no problem finding other bloggers in your niche that are popular and interesting. Bookmark those that you like, follow their topics daily, and if you find something that sparks your interest – comment.

Become a participating voice in the community. The more interesting your comments are, the more likely your peers will follow you to your blog. And who knows – you might stand out among the crowd and be recognized by the author, which can spin off into better opportunities.

2.) Register with blog networks like: Technorati, BlogCatalog, and MyBlogLog

It’s important that you get your blog out there for others to see. You can start the process by submitting to search engines, but that’s just the beginning. Technorati, BlogCatalog, and MyBlogLog are just a few of the high profile blog networks on the web. Register with them, network with other people in your releated area, and get your word out.

When you register with these services remember a couple of things:

1.) Create a detailed profile. Let people know a little bit about you and draw them in. Without that personal interaction people may flee quickly.

2.) Tag your blog properly. Tags are very important – they’re usually one or two word descriptions of your blog. So for example my blog would fall under categories like: Money, Business, and Finance. Dig around the specific service and look for popular tags and try to use those for your blog. It allows people who are interested in these topics to easily find your site.

3.) Register with several forums.

Do a Google search for forums that are related to your niche and register. Try to be an active voice in the community. People will flock to you if you’re interesting. Not only that but it allows you to find out what others are doing and what makes them appealing.

When you register with a forum, make sure to fill out the profile, similar to the blogging services. And equally as important – make a signature that is a direct link to your blog. Your signature is shown in every post that you make – helping you gain visibility. This is all the more reason to create thought provoking discussions.

Earnings of Successful People

There are some people who just seem to have it all figured out. They manage their families, careers and responsibilities with graceful ease, and clean shirts.  Have you ever wondered how these ’types’ manage to juggle so effortlessly, while your balls are seemingly crashing down around you?

These types of people always get the promotion, win the race, don’t ever seem stressed, and eyes just follow them.

What’s their secret? How are they keeping it all together?

I know, and I’m going to tell you.

It’s about getting the proper sleep.

People who get enough sleep are successful, focused and happy.

We need sleep to recharge our brains and bodies. When we are tired, we can aimlessly jump from task to task without any real clarity. We end up treading a tiring circle of never-ending tasks. We all want to be the best version of ourselves, whether it be a good mother, top executive or an amazing athlete.

In our busy society, sleep has become somewhat of a luxury.  If you own your own business or have kids, you might relate to the phrase: “I’ll sleep when I’m dead.”

Guess what? You couldn’t be further from the truth.  You are forgoing the one thing that can help you achieve your success.

Bad sleep habits cause our bodies to become worn. Like an engine without an oil change, we start to break down.

We become irritable and moody, and if sleep deprivation continues we can experience hallucinations and anxiety.
We become emotionally flattened and our relationships suffer.

We lose our ability to remember and suffer many cognitive delays.
We can even fall prey to substance abuse.
What’s even worse is that we can fall into micro-sleeps (5-10 seconds) that cause lapses in attention, which could lead us to nod off while doing an activity like driving. Not getting enough sleep is downright dangerous.
So ask yourself this: are you starting to resemble a zombie from World War Z? That’s not going to bring you success or happiness. Let’s get you back to being human, okay?

Thanks,

Tag Cloud

A tag cloud is a stylized way of visually representing occurrences of words used to described tags. The most popular  topics are normally highlighted in a larger, bolder font. Visitors to a blog or site using a tag cloud, are able to easily see the most popular tags within the page - making it easy to discern the topics covered in one quick look. Also called a weighted list.

Tag clouds offer a quite interesting approach for site navigation; although the technique is sometimes considered to be an “alternative”, it shouldn’t replace the “common” navigation but support it giving users additional clues about the content of the site. Due to their “cloudy” form the design of tag clouds sets them apart from other design elements on a page. And although designers don’t really have that much choice in designing them, they still find their ways to break through the bounds of creativity and come up with some unusual approaches and solutions.
Tagging is the process of labeling data with related keywords. The basic idea of tag clouds is to represent tags according to their meaning, their weight and their frequency relatively to other tags. This is done with appropriate font sizes and colors. The more important a tag is, the bigger and louder it appears (or at least should appear).

Tag clouds are often considered as one of the typical design elements in Web 2.0. However it’s possible that the concept is recently loosing its popularity. Over the last years many sites used the technique, because they wanted to look “smashy”, although they really weren’t. This resulted in unusable and boring designs, supported by the quick’n'dirty-tagging. The best example are probably Technorati’s tag clouds which have a number of repetitions, sometimes have spam and basically consist of mainstream and irrelevant terms.

A list of tags in what is called a 'tag cloud', where the size of each tag is determined by how many times that particular tag has been assigned to posts.

Types of Tag Clouds

There is a variety of ways to implement tag clouds. Some methods are more popular than the other ones. Most clouds are primarily sorted alphabetically.

Tags are sorted alphabetically. The most important or frequent terms are highlighted via an appropriate font size.

Tags are sorted alphabetically. All terms have the same font size and weight. More important terms are highlighted with a font color or a background color.

Tags are sorted according to their importance or frequency. Both font-size and colors can be used to emphasize the importance of terms.

Tags aren’t sorted at all. Font-size, font-weight and colors in use.

Tags are sorted according to their similarity. Similar terms appear as neighbours next to each other. A variety of visual formatting can be applied.

Complete Tagpages

Since tag clouds tend to use large areas of layouts, sometimes they are moved to a single page. There they have much space and designers can risk experiments they wouldn’t risk in a sidebar. Such design solutions are quite rare.

Benefits Of A Tag Cloud

On your blog, your tag cloud will show a list of popular tags. Tags, or subject keywords, will appear based on frequency of use. If your blog is about dieting, you might have many diet-related words in the cloud but the most popular tags will appear to be the largest.

Not only does the cloud show popular words but is clickable as well. If someone sees a word that appeals to them, they’re going to click it and be taken to a category search, where they’ll be directed to a results page filled with blog posts of yours that use that tag in them. Each click that is made on your site could be a click closer to a sale.

The tag cloud shouldn’t be overbearing or incredibly large on the blog but it’s a good idea to make sure people can see it. You might place it on a sidebar just below the fold, for instance.

Choosing Tags

Keyword research can help you choose tags to use. Using tools that help you determine keywords to use and then sprinkling those words throughout your text can help you get search engine traffic based on those words. When creating your WordPress blog post, be sure to enter those tags into the tag field as well as use them in the blog post itself.

It’s a good idea to pick a few standard tags that you’ll use regularly.
